AN ENDURING LEGACY AND HELPS ENSURE THE PLACES WE ALL LOVE ARE THERE
FOR FUTURE GENERATIONS TO ENJOY!
Planned Giving is a way for you to support RGALT’s very important work to protect the middle Rio Grande’s land, water and natural habitat forever. RGALT is committed to protecting land and water for the future, and with your gift you can too.
Planned Giving is a flexible and creative way to give charitably while meeting your own estate planning goals. As you develop your estate plan, please consider supporting RGALT’s work to permanently protect our precious land and water for people and wildlife, now and in the future.
THERE ARE MANY WAYS TO GIVE TO RGALT. We have listed a few commonly used planned giving options that may provide you with tax benefits. As you consider your estate planning, we encourage you to consult with your financial planner, accountant, or attorney who can advise you on the best planned giving option for you. Designating RGALT as a beneficiary for your planned gift is completely flexible and you have the ability to modify your gift as circumstances change.
Bequests – You may bequeath a cash amount, securities or assets to RGALT. There are many different options to make this work for you. The bequest may be in a specific amount or a residual amount that is left after bequests to other individuals or may be contingent on whether another named individual survives you.
Gifts of Real Estate – You can make a gift of property to RGALT by making the donation a part of your will or estate plans.
Life Insurance – You can make a gift to RGALT simply by designating RGALT as the direct or contingent beneficiary of a life insurance policy.
Retirement/IRA Fund Beneficiary – Most people do not use all of their retirement assets during their lifetime. The unused assets can be used to make a generous gift to RGALT by naming RGALT as the residual beneficiary of your retirement fund. You can continue to receive the benefits and when you no longer need them, the remainder is donated to RGALT as a gift.
